It all starts with an idea
The birth of Lacrimosa is the result of an intense research into textiles and patterns.
All prints were created by scanning wilted flowers, transforming their lost delicacy into new, living matter.
From there began a meticulous exploration of embroidery and textile manipulations: each fabric was hand-embroidered and adorned with glass beads sourced from a carefully preserved 1960s archive of a Milanese merchant.
The idea of portraying a nature that is both curated and bucolic stems from my childhood — spent playing in the garden and observing that small natural paradise in all its shades and seasons.
Nature, to me, is a place of rebirth and experimentation; it brings back pure, childlike emotions — like a breath returning to its origin.
